Maxsys Solutions is seeking a Tier 1 Helpdesk Technician for a contract to hire role in Ft. Worth, TX.  Our client has been recognized many times over the years for their great services and due to several new projects they’ve landed, they need to hire Helpdesk Technician (Tier 1) for a 4 month CTH role.  Must have hands-on experience troubleshooting all IT issues (includes software, hardware and networking). 

Technical Requirements:

  • Assist end-users in resolving complex technical problems; resolve or refer highly complex technical problems, when needed
  • Install and update desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, networks and related software
  • Assist in the management of AD information, ensuring accuracy and regular updates
  • Log and track inquiries using a ticketing system while maintaining history records
  • Configure and administer a defined technology/system (Hardware, Operating Systems, Network and middleware) in support of ongoing operations and projects

Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Helpdesk capacity (Hardware, Operating Systems, Network and middleware)
  • Windows and Mac OS hardware/software experience
  • VPN technologies (IPSec and SSL)
  • 1-2 years' experience in the energy space is preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills
