Maxsys Solutions has partnered with a dynamic company in the financial services space in search of a NOC Technician in Ft. Worth, TX.   Our client is well known for their products/services and has received multiple designations (i.e. Best-in-class employer and one of Forbes most promising companies).  Due to growth, they need to hire a NOC Support Specialist ​​​​​​who will respond to user reports of application outages, monitor automated job processing and escalate issues to the appropriate IT teams.  This role will also be responsible for trouble tickets, including troubleshooting system issues and application outages prior to escalation and respond to Service Desk tickets.  This is a contract to hire role; upon conversion, our client offers great health benefits and an excellent PTO program.

 

Technical Requirements:

  • NOC, Windows Server, Virtual environment, VoIP Desktop Support, System monitoring
  • Respond to calls, emails and self-service requests for technical support
  • Respond to escalations from all 3rd party partners & vendors to ensure prompt internal escalation
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve level 1 hardware/software issues for end users
  • Monitor system events/alerts and incident reports to ensure maximum service uptime
  • Serve as a 1st level escalation point for all system-generated events/alerts and user-generated incidents; escalate to appropriate IT team based on defined procedures
  • Work on a rotating schedule (evenings, overnight & weekends)

 

Other Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ hands-on NOC experience in a medium-large distributed systems environment
  • Must have a solid understanding of tiered distributed systems architecture, IP networks and strong troubleshooting capacity for network and server systems
  • Experience with standard systems administration for Windows servers (including basic troubleshooting, installing software and performing system updates)
  • Strong knowledge of desktop support tools as well as the entire Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with VOIP desktop client support and administration
  • Hands-on experience working with virtual machines and hosts
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must have a strong work ethic
